La Rodzina's import calculator gives you an estimated price for the complete operation: goods, international freight, insurance, duties and taxes, customs clearance, inland logistics and our service. The figure you see is the goods already cleared through customs and delivered in Argentina, not an FOB price with surprises added later.
You enter the number of units, the total value of the goods at origin and the total CBM, choose the product category and that's it. The calculation uses the actual tax burden of each category across 19 categories: machinery, plastics, apparel, footwear, leather goods, electronics, furniture, hardware, toys, auto parts, housewares, lighting, construction, cosmetics, stationery, sports and more.
Every quote is calculated on a shared container from China, with 55 to 60 days of sailing time plus your supplier's production time. Once you leave your details, you also unlock the breakdown by concept and the final unit cost excluding VAT.
Is the calculator price final?
It is an estimate, very close to the real figure. For a formal, closed quote an advisor will contact you.
What is CBM and why do you ask for it?
It is the volume of your cargo in cubic metres. International freight is shared among the importers in the container according to the volume each one takes up, which is why it is the figure that weighs most on the cost.
Does it include Argentine taxes?
Yes. The calculation covers the extra-zone import duty for the category, the statistics fee, VAT and the VAT advance payment.
What is the final unit cost excluding VAT?
It is what each unit actually costs you once you deduct the VAT on the operation, which is recoverable if you are VAT-registered.
Can I import a small volume?
Yes. We work with shared containers, so you do not need to fill a whole container to import.
